Remembering Marshall McLuhan
Last week marked the birthday of Marshall McLuhan, who would have turned 106 on July 21st. Marshall McLuhan is a famous media theorist who was born in Alberta and spent most of his professional career as a professor at the University of Toronto.

Appointment Type: Part-time, Temporary Customer Service Staff
Summary and Key Responsibilities:

We are looking for energetic, outgoing customer service staff who will help us deliver an excellent customer experience. We are planning to hire approximately 100 people for our busy back-to-school season and have a variety of positions available including Floor Staff, Cashiers and Receivers from mid-August to late September. Available shifts will range from 12 to 35 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities include:
• Greeting and interacting with customers
• Helping students find their course books, school supplies and other merchandise
• Answering questions, ensuring customers have the information they need
• Operating a point-of-sale (POS) terminal, confidently handling cash and other forms of payment
• Unpacking boxes, stocking shelves, and merchandising products
• Posting promotional flyers across the campus

Who are we looking for?
• Previous Retail or Customer Service experience
• Thoroughly enjoy interacting with people and helping them find what they are looking for
• Hardworking, energetic, positive outlook
• Thrive in a busy environment, comfortable with learning and working under pressure
• Dependable - arrive on time for all shifts
• Enjoy working with an incredible team of co-workers
